'Recent work follows today’s sensitivity towards issues of protection and security. Ideas for many of the prints come as a result of working with contemporary writers and poets and responding directly to their work. The work is usually realised in traditional forms of Printmaking such as Etching and Collagraph as well as in drawing and watercolour.
The latest series of prints collectively entitled ‘Light House’ have been made during the first year of a current printmaking fellowship at The City and Guilds of London Art School.
Each work has its own conceptual origin; however in each piece greenhouse-like structures at once describe nurture, suffocation and protection.' |
