I am a painter and printmaker. I studied at Bath, the Leipzig art Academy, and recently completed a Masters at The Prince’s Drawing School.
The pieces for the show are part of a larger body of work. I am interested in pushing the boundaries of representation, working from life, whilst drawing on my imagination. I am looking at internal as opposed to external landscapes. Figures that become part of an image are taken from reality but placed onto the picture according to what is being projected onto them in an attempt at understanding. I am interested in the interplay between social values and the status of the individual in the modern world.
