Lynda lives and works in London but her artwork is about the landscape and forces of nature, the elements and empty wild places.
Her current series of tree etchings ‘Permanence, Impermanence, Wilderness’ intends to provide a counter point to the bold, man-made landscape of Canary Wharf skyscrapers (the venue of the latest LOOP exhibition in the Clifford Chance building) and the power it symbolises. The images present another paradigm: that of the natural world. Trees are ancient and actual, have energy and vital force, are both fragile strong. They can exist alone in the wilderness, withstanding extreme adverse conditions. |
